Welcome - check out the nice string of fish caught May, 1999 in the Aqua Fria arm of Lake Pleasant here in Phoenix, Arizona. Who said the desert doesn't have water??? Fishing is among my favorite sports, though I include Jeep 4X4 hunts for Gamble quail and old mining towns fun. Just sold my '47 Jeep but have visitation privileges. Horses and dogs are my favorite animals. I've a docile sweet Chow Chow named Reddawg that I'll introduce you to later on. Name your interests; wagon trains, bungee jumpers, rodeos, medicine, automotive, buildings, concepts, parks, etc; I've written about it. Writing isn't the most lucrative way to earn a living to say the least, but I've managed to keep together (buy and pay off) a nice home with all the amenities, raise two children alone since 1974, buy some toys like a boat and motorcycle, and have lots of fun as well. These days I've been carousing with the Game and Fish and recently attended their Heritage Fund Conservation Workshop in Springerville, Arizona. Good thing I had my "tin tent" (Ford Econoline Conversion Van) as the temperature dipped to 24 degrees in the night. Though I was snug in my warm bedroll within my tin tent, I heard car engines starting all night for those less stalwart folks (who were in the 60MPH wind permiable tents) as they drove to town to find a motel for the night. I've had lots of adventures and have received my first Social Security pittance in August, 1999, so I'm practicing now! It's kinda like falling off a cliff having a steady income!

Well, it had to happen eventually. After 38 years in the same home, you can imagine what I've accumulated, packrat that I am. Who knows, there might be another depression some day and I may need this "junque". Really, since the kids (son, Joseph, born in 1961 and daughter, Judiann, born in 1967) haven't time to help their aging Mom get rid of this stuff, I'll get even with 'em. I'm going to die here and let them worry about all this neat stuff! That'll show 'em, won't it!? And now I'll show you a pic of daughter Judiann on left, son Joseph on right and yours truly in the middle. I clean up good, eh? We (twin sister, Dee; and twin sisters (yep, two sets of twins 14 years apart) Lydia and Claudia had a grand family reunion here in Phoenix on and off for about five weeks...lots of laughs and lots of food and lots of running around. Despite the fact that there were lots of complaints about the heat (I wanted the reunion in March - alas) the swimming pool was a welcome respite from the Arizona summer! And I must add, we contributed our share to the Indian nations at the local casinos as well. We all went on some jaunts to Camp Verde, Pine, Strawberry and Payson (and of course to the casino there as well) and we even ventured to the Burro Mountain Homestead in SW New Mexico where my sisters are hostesses. Gosh it's beautiful there and I love the smell of the woods!

Speaking of downsizing, the picture on the left is one of many hand crafted, hand painted nautical signs from Red Lobster Restaurants that I'll soon be listing on eBay | My interests:
